Environmental, social and governance (ESG)
MailSlurp's approach to environmental responsibility, fair treatment and business governance, with information for customer and supplier ESG reviews.
MailSlurp, operated by Pettman OÜ, aims to conduct business responsibly and take environmental, social and governance considerations into account to the best of our knowledge and ability. Our approach is practical and proportionate to the nature and scale of our business, the resources available to us and the areas we can influence.
This statement provides an overview for customers carrying out supplier reviews. It describes our general aims, rather than a certification, an audited assessment or a guarantee of particular outcomes.
Last updated: 5 October 2026.
Environmental responsibility
We aim to use resources thoughtfully and avoid unnecessary waste. Where practical, this means considering efficient use of computing and storage, digital rather than printed documents, alternatives to unnecessary travel, and the useful life, reuse and responsible disposal of equipment.
We recognise that delivering an online service has an environmental footprint, including through the infrastructure and services we purchase. We seek to consider environmental information alongside security, reliability and other business needs when evaluating suppliers. A supplier's sustainability claims, targets or certifications should not be interpreted as equivalent claims for MailSlurp.
Greenhouse gas emissions and reporting
Customers may request greenhouse gas (GHG) information, including Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions, for their own reporting. This statement does not publish a quantified emissions inventory or provide emissions figures for any reporting year, including 2025. It should not be used as evidence of zero emissions or as a substitute for a separately confirmed response.
For emissions data, reduction targets, renewable energy use, offsets or external assurance, please request specific confirmation. This statement makes no claim of carbon neutrality, net zero, a verified reduction or an independently certified environmental management system.
Where information is available, we aim to help customers understand its reporting period, coverage, source and any estimation or verification limitations. Missing or unverified information should not be treated as zero, and figures from an infrastructure provider should not be treated as a complete MailSlurp emissions inventory.
People and fair treatment
We aim to treat colleagues, customers, suppliers and the wider community with dignity and respect. Our general approach supports fair treatment, equal opportunity, a safe and respectful working environment, and respect for human rights. We oppose discrimination, harassment, forced labour, child labour and exploitation.
Our code of conduct describes expectations around professional behaviour, confidentiality, conflicts of interest and raising concerns. These principles also inform how we aim to work with others; they are not a representation that every supplier has been independently audited.
Governance and responsible business
We aim to act honestly, avoid bribery and corruption, manage conflicts of interest and handle business information responsibly. Protecting customer information and maintaining clear business practices are central to our approach.
Customers can review our security policy, data processing agreement and other legal and compliance documents for information relevant to their assessment. This ESG statement does not extend the scope of those documents or establish additional certifications or controls.
Customer questionnaires and enquiries
For an ESG or sustainability questionnaire, contact our team with the questions, reporting year, requested scope and deadline. We aim to assist in good faith using information reasonably available to us and to distinguish confirmed information from estimates or information that requires further review. The availability of supporting records and our ability to complete a particular questionnaire depend on the request.
Status of this statement
This is a general, non-binding information statement, not a contractual policy. It does not create a warranty, service level, reporting obligation, emissions target or commitment to any particular action, expenditure or result. References to aims describe our intentions and do not guarantee achievement.
Publication here, or a link from our legal index, is not intended to incorporate this statement into any agreement, including through a general reference to our policies or website. Any binding ESG obligation would need to be expressly agreed in a separate written agreement signed by an authorised representative of MailSlurp. Existing contractual obligations and applicable legal requirements remain unaffected. This statement may be revised as our business and available information change.
